Aqua Bounty Tech Inc - Directorate Change
AquaBounty Technologies, Inc. (AIM: ABTX, ABTU; OTC: AQBT), a biotechnology company focusedon enhancing productivity in the aquaculture market, announces the appointment of Jack Anthony Bobo asa Non-Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect.
Mr. Bobo, aged 49, has significant expertise in the analysis and communication of global trends inbiotechnology, food and agriculture to audiences around the world, and is currently Senior Vice Presidentand Chief Communications Officer at Intrexon Corporation, Inc. (NYSE: XON) ("Intrexon"), abiotechnology company and majority shareholder in AquaBounty, a position he has held since July 2015.He joined Intrexon from the U.S. Department of State where he worked for thirteen years, most recently asSenior Advisor for Food Policy following his positions as Senior Advisor for Biotechnology as well asChief, Biotechnology and Textile Trade Division. Prior to this, Mr. Bobo was an attorney at Crowell &Moring LLP. He received a J.D. from Indiana University School of Law and an M.S. in EnvironmentalScience from Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
This appointment follows the resignation, with immediate effect, from the Board of Thomas Kasser who,since February 2013, has held one of the four Board positions allocated to Intrexon.
